Mission Statement


Since 2005 Amario’s Art Academy’s mission has been to promote literacy, create comic books and animations that serve the community through creative art projects. To promote artistic integrity and arts education, that creates standards of artistic excellence. Mentoring students from grades 3 through 12 on leadership and teamwork skills guiding them towards a professional career in the arts.


Program Overview


The Academy will provide weekly art classes from June 7th, 2021 to July 2nd, 2021 on Thursdays & Friday via virtual platform for Atlanta Cares Mentoring Summer program for a term of one month ending on July 2, 2021. Virtual classes specifically focusing artistic education through instruction in comic book design, comic book development, and community development projects. .

 

Art Supplies and required course materials will be picked up by Atlanta Cares Students or staff on June 3rd, 2021 from 12pm to 2pm.  Academy staff will continue to practice social distancing and sanitizing methods to ensure the safest interaction for supply pick up / delivery. Academy may utilize its facilities at (1087 Cleveland Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30344) outdoor grounds to assist in the supply & distribution of art supplies.


Academy staff requires access to student demographics via survey at the inception and ending of program
as part of its mandated reporting requirements.
